# Getting Started: Connecting WooCommerce to Thinkific

Before getting started, confirm the following:

- WooCommerce 8.5 or above is installed.
- Your site is running PHP 8.1 or above.
  - Note: Earlier versions of this documentation indicated that PHP 8.0 was supported. 8.0 is no longer supported, and we strongly recommend upgrading to 8.1 or above in accordance [with the PHP release schedule.](https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php)
- Your Thinkific Plan supports the Public REST API. *At the time of writing, this is the **Grow** plan or higher*. *If you are unsure about API access, you should confirm with Thinkfiic Support before making a purchase.*

**Important**: You must confirm the above requirements are met by your site and Thinkific **before** purchasing and installing the plugin. We do not grant refunds for sites that do not meet our minimum requirement criteria**.**

1. Download and Install the plugin in WordPress
2. When prompt, enter your license key as contained in your order confirmation email
3. Navigate to **WooCommerce**, **Settings** then **Thinkific Extension by WooNinja** (See image below)
4. Open Thinkific, and retrieve your **API key** and **subdomain**. [Click here for instructions on where to find these details.](https://support.thinkific.dev/hc/en-us/articles/4422657425431-Authorization-using-API-Key) Enter these details in the appropriate spaces, then scroll to the end of the page and click **Save**.
5. Verify the Thinkific API is connected, and your license key is valid.

**Top Tip:** Now would be a good time to review the settings of the plugin and ensure they are set up to your liking.
